
研究员,男,博士生导师(中科院植物研究胜绍在食价调在也烈所)。师从徐仁院士,长期从事植物演化和环境变迁方面的科学研究和科学教育。1987年获德国洪堡奖学金,1990年获国务院学位办"做出突出贡献的中国博士学位获得者"荣誉称号,19队时远种振过特放92年起享受政府特殊津贴构官尽特源。主持中国科学院"九五"重大项目,国家自然科学面上基金兵移曲金自和重点基金多项,获中国科学院自然科学二等奖、来自国家自然科学三等奖和北京市科学技术二等奖。发表研究论文150多篇,与英、美、法、德、比、波、捷、印和俄罗斯等十多个国家具有长期稳定的合作关系。
曾任中国科学院植物研究所常务副所长,北京自然博物馆馆长等职位。中国植物学会古植物分会名誉理事长,中国植物学、英国林奈学会,美国植物学会,国际分类学会,乌克兰古生物学会会员等 。

研究来自领域
维管植物比较形态学、植物解剖学、化石植物季精肉众可倒分类学、演化植物学和环境生360百科物学。
遵循植物演化生物学的思想,从生命科层书洲切汽把学和环境科学两个方面,研究陆地植物起源演化及其与全球环境变迁的相关关系。长期以来,许通过研究植物演化过程中处于重要环节的类群,整体重建重要的绝灭类群,恢复植物演化序列,揭示其演化机制和规律;同时获取生物演化事件和化石植物富含的环境和气候信息,从生物学角度认识环境演变过程和规律,认识史前自然灾难,在长时间尺度上探索和理解全球变化趋势 。其领导的研究团队主要致力于以下研究:1)陆地植物起源和演化;2)新断律原生代植被演替及其对全球气候变化的响应叫将度带背;3)第三纪东亚-北美、东亚-欧洲植被的关系;4)人类早期活动与自然环境的关系,取得了一系列原创性研究成果,积累了丰富经验,发表研究论文150多篇;主要研究成果发表在美国、英国、德国、加拿大和荷兰等国际球河决核心刊物上;
